Ronald W. Hoffman went home to Jesus on December 9, 2018. Ron was born on September 1, 1940. He was predeceased by his parents Norman and Bernedine Hoffman, brother Roger and in laws Stanley and Alice Jane Daniels and brother in-law Dan Daniels.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 54 years Susanne (Sue) daughters Amy Billings, Kiersten Westover(Ryan) grandsons Grant and Hunter Billings and great granddaughter Aurora. He is survived by his sister Marcia Weidman (Bill), their sons Daniel and Brian and wives, nephew Michael and five great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister in law Dianne Connell (Tom) and their children, Joe, Colleen and Dan. His brother in law Wes Daniels (Sue) and Allison Contris, and his brother in law John Daniels (Kris).

Ron was a self starter, always a man of integrity who you could always depend on. Sports was always part of his high school years. He played football with the United States Air Force in which he served his country from 1959-1963.

Ron and Sue were married on September 26, 1964 in Grand Rapids, MI.
Our family was privileged to share in the lives of many special friends as we moved frequently with his career as account manager with Levi Strauss and Company.

Ron was a friend you could always count on, he lived and loved well.

We look forward to our reunion in heaven and know “The Best is Yet to Come.”

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Grace Community Church, Fishers, IN. Suggestions for donations are Grace Community Church, St. Vincent Hospice or to the education fund for his grandson Hunter Billings. If you wish to donate to his Aviation Mechanic schooling please make the check payable to Sue Hoffman. Ron “ Papa” was so proud of both of his grandsons and was excited to see their continued success.

We loved getting to know Ron and Sue when they rented for the winter in Florida. Such an asset to our community. Fun to have around and so helpful. Their faith was very evident and I admired their respect for each other. A true testimony to a long and wonderful marriage. As you go forth Sue. I can only imagine the heartache you have but rest assured you will meet again.

We so enjoyed our time with Ron. We admired how well he could carve and serve a platter of meats, how he could put an amazing outfit together and always look perfectly groomed, and how he obviously enjoyed his feisty wife and awesome kids and grandkids. Most of all, we’ll remember how he reacquainted himself with his savior this past year and loved God’s Word. Ron will be missed by so many earthlings but welcomed with a party in heaven. Our prayers go up for all who grieve, but we’re grateful that “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Ps. 147:3 Much Love, The Rice Family

Ron will always have a special place in my heart. I have very fond memories of my extended ‘family’ with the Hoffmans – all the girls running around, vacationing, playing games, being silly… and Ron always ready with kind words and a warm hug. He really was an angel of a person – his kind and gentle spirit were so sincere. I am blessed to have had him as part of my life.
