Clyde L. Ashby Jr lovingly known as “Bobo”, “Daddy”, “Red” was born on February 2, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN to Clyde L Ashby Sr. and Margaret H. (Chandler) Russell. He was preceded in death by his parents, his two sisters Elizabeth “Ann” Anderson; Jacquelen M. Wilson; and brother David Robinson. He attended Indianapolis Public School #87 as well as Crispus Attucks High.

Clyde started his work career at an early age as a Brick Mason and later became the founder and owner of ACA Excavating and Demolition. He was a hard worker, A great motivator and teacher.

Intelligent, interesting and an avid reader of black history and social justice, Clyde was a strong advocate of economic freedom. His hobbies included spending time with family, friends and sharing literature and DVD’s of Black History.  He took pride in his annual Labor Day family cookouts; he enjoyed serving the homeless and the disadvantaged, always encouraging you to go out and help another in need. Clyde had an infectious laugh with a witty sense of humor but did not hesitate to keep it real. His impact on others will never be forgotten and he left a legacy of hard work and strong work ethics.

Best Man to ever walk this Earth. I will miss you everyday of my life. All those invaluable lectures and that wonderful smile even the way you’d slant your head ever so slightly to the left when deep in thought. I could not have had a better Father. You often beat yourself up about not being a good enough Father. You could not have been any better. I’m now on this Earth alone. I know it was designed that way and people say the pain gets better, right now I’m cold and broken. I can hear you now telling me to “Move past it”. I’d move past it swiftly if you where here🤣🤣.. I can’t wait to be covered by your beautiful spirit again. Goodbye Dedee………. for now! 😉LOU💋💋
