John "Nelu" Sava63, passed away on April 16, 2005. John was born in Costeiu DeSus, Romania, on April 2, 1942. He came to the United States when he was 45 years of age to escape the political persecution in Romania. He eventually became a United States citizen. Nelu was a doctor and the Director of the Romanian Board of Health.He is survived by his mother Elizabeth Sava, son Daniel Sava, his wife and caregiver, Florica Sava.Nelu was a vital connection, world wide for refugees escaping persecution in Romania. His death leaves a large void in that special link.Services will be held at 10:00 am, April 20, 2005 at Episcopal Church of All Saints, 1559 N. Central Avenue, Indianapolis, IN., with visitation 9 to 10 am.
