Mary K. Berndt64, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2006. Mary was born on January 4, 1942. Mary worked as an Actuarial Specialist at American United Life for many years. Mary is survived by daughter; Belinda Sue (Nelson) Stowers, sons; Michael Jay Nelson and Jeffrey Allen Berndt, grandchildren; Mathew Stephen Dodds and Melissa Rae Stowers, sister; Betty Jane Jones and brother; Robert Loutt.Visitation will be Tuesday, August 8 from 3 to 8 pm at Harry Moore Family Mortuary, 8151 Allisonville Road. The funeral service will be at 11 am, Wednesday, August 9 at First Baptist Church, 86th & College Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to The Little Red Door. Entombment will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens.

Mary was a quiet, serene lady who made a deep impression on us. We loved being in the Sunday School class with her (and Missy) and having her beside us in worship. She will be sadly missed and wonderfully remembered. May God comfort you at this time.

At a time in my life not too many years ago, Mary was my best friend. Euchre parties, scrabble between just the two of us, when I had a difficult surgery, it was Mary I asked for in recovery. I will love and miss her always.
