Michael and David, very sorry to hear abut your Dad. It is to bad that I never had a chance to meet you in person. I can tell you that your dad was very proud of you guys. I bought many boxes of pop corn to support the Boy Scouts. We worked together on many projects at RCA / Thomson and it was always a pleasure to have him on our team. A true professional.
May God bless you and your families and I hope you are carrying on his work with the Boy Scouts.

Pete helped me on many press excursions, setting up product, making it work. We used to tease each other that we both had two sons named Michael and David — and later one granddaughter! He was a true, TRUE gentleman and was a treasure to work with….I wish I could be there in person to pay my respects. May he rest in peace.

    David and Mike,
In my limited contact with your father, all I could tell is that he had a way about Him that made me smile and I am sure you know what I am talking about. He called me a “pup”… he seemed to know alot more than he led on. Anyway my thoughts and prayers are with you guys.

    Michael & David:
Our family and the larger family of Scouts at St. Monica is very sad to learn of your Dad’s passing. We give you our deepest condolences and will keep you and him in our prayers. Pete showed us the way in Scouting with his love and service for the boys and left us many fond memories such as the Hammes Hotel. You both are fine examples of your parents dedicated efforts. Please visit Troop 514 especially at Summer camp.

    David and Michael,
I was so sorry to read in the newspaper about your father’s death ~ he was too young. When we were both parishoners at St. Matthews in the early 80s, he was very instrumental in helping two Cambodian families relocate and become familiar with the Indianapolis area. We worked together on the committee and Pete was, as always, tireless in his time and talents. They will be heartbroken to hear that “Mr. Pete” is gone. How lucky you both were to have him for your father. Treasure your memories of him and your mother.

    To Joe’s Sons/family,

I just learned of Joe’s death and am so very sorry for your loss. We were classmates at Plymouth High School and I always enjoyed my friendship with Joe; he was so kind and a gentleman always. I had not seen Joe for many years, but I’m confident he made a difference in the lives of those around him. I’m glad to read so many nice things from others that show he had two fine sons of whom he was quite proud. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of loss.

    Sincerely,

    Bonnie Beals Essex
