What to say about Dick; he was the best co-worker I have ever worked with. He made me smile ever day, I would always walk in the Fedex hub with a smile on my face ready to work, and he would come up to me and say you and that smile, I would say I love life and my job. He always made me feel good about myself. He took care of us when our team leader passed away and did an outstanding job. He kept us smiling and always told us to do our best and keep up the good work. I will miss him so much. He was the best co-worker and friend I have ever had. My prayers are with his family. Take care and God bless you all. 🙂

    Love,
    Amanda Blackburn
PS: I will keep smiling for you Dick. Thanks for making me smile.

I just met Dick in October as a new agent with REMAX. He introduced himself to me within a few days after I started and asked me if there was anything I needed. He circled back a couple of days later to check on me. I detected quickly that he was a very genuine person who cared for others. I am glad I got the chance to meet him. My heart goes out to his family.

I did not personally know him but was his waitress on that tragic day and wanted to express my sympathy to his wife, family, co-workers and close friends. It really made me realize just how precious life really is…never to take even a second for granted. I will FOREVER keep his wife and family in my thoughts and prayers.

    Caryl-
I had the privalege of getting to know Dick when I was employeed with Stewart Title and he was one of our frequent agents. Closing a deal could be very frustrating at times, and regardless of how frustrated he might have felt, he never lost that smile or his compassion for others. He was a joy to work with and know briefly. I cannot imagine your grief and you and your sons are in my prayers.

    Sincerely,
    Shirley Meyer

I worked with Dick at Re/Max Real Estate Group from 1993-1997. Dick was one of my favorite people there. He was so easy to work with and always made me laugh. His love for his wife and family was quite evident. I echo what many others have said here – he was one of the “good guys”. I pray for peace and comfort for his family in the days and years to come.

    Dear Caryl,

We are so sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. Marilyn sent an email to let us know. He was taken much too soon, but God has a plan for him I am sure.

I always remember Dick’s smile and laugh. He had such a joyous face and his laugh was infectious. Dick and I (Mary) were baptized and joined the church at the same Easter Vigil. A blessing I will always share with him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your boys. You all were richly blessed with Dick’s life and presence, and now you have precious memories of him with you always.

    Much love,

Oh Caryl, I am so very, very sorry to hear about Dick. It’s been so many years since I’ve seen you (gosh, I used to babysit Ted!) but what I remember from the time we met in our days at the Sheraton is how much respect and love you and Dick had for each other, how you made each other laugh and especially how much family meant. Please know that you and the boys are in my heart, thoughts and prayers.

    Love,

My deepest condolences. Dick was a close bud in high school. Immediately after graduation we took a road trip to California with another close friend which was an unforgettable experience. Richard was a great guy with a great laugh and sense of humor. I have fond memories of all the fantastic times we shared during our younger years.
May God bless him and you in your loss.

    Caryl
My first real estate transaction 5 years ago was with Dick and to my amazement I later ran into him at FedEx and worked with him for the last year. We would haze each other a lot. That I will miss dearly.
    Caryl to you and the boys I say;

And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony, And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as you teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, and as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
    Colossians 3 14-17
