Barbara Jean Crabtree was born April 26, 1934 to John and Anna Conlin.  Barbara passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019.  Her family included sister Margaret Sarah (Margie), brother Charles Edward, (Bud), sister Mary Elizabeth, brothers John Theodore (Johnny), Robert Lee (Bobby) , Donald Francis( Donny).  She attended St. Phillip Neri grade school, and St. John High School in Indianapolis.  She met the love of her life, Jack W. Crabtree, son of Frank and Ruth, and they were married in August, 1956.  She was proceeded in death by her parents, Jack’s parents, her brothers and sisters and husband.  Jack and Barbara have four sons, Mark (wife Cathy), Mathew, Kyle (wife Janessa) and Chris (wife Vera).  Her cherished loves are her grand children,  Jennifer (husband Andy), Tami (husband Jon) and Daniel; Rachel and Joel; Christina (husband Tim), Jordan (wife JoDee); C.J., Brian, Tony (wife Danielle) and Tristan, and her great-grandchildren, Eli and Selah; Jayden and Riley; Samantha and Daylynn; JJ; Jayla; Chaucer and Bowie.  She shared a special relationship with her many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.  Barb’s many friends are cherished as family, and there are many other people that have called her Mom, Grandma and GG.

She was always active in the church and school, St. Simon’s, Holy Spirit and Scecina Memorial High School, as well as other other groups such as the Miramar Club, and devoted much time to helping others and building a stronger community.

A Celebration of her life will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E. 10th Street,  Friday July 12th, gathering at 9:00 am, memorial service at 10:00 am and reception following.
