Carollyn Wolgamott went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, December 21, 2018 after a brief illness. She was the first born of Fred Q. Bishop, Sr. and Mabel G. (Reuter) Bishop (who proceeded her in death).

Carollyn was born November 4, 1938, in Glasgow, Kentucky. She just celebrated her 80th birthday.

Carollyn is survived by her husband of 6 years, Michael R. Wolgamott; her four children: William (Billy) Cunningham, Brenda Sue (Cunningham McElhiney (Patrick), Becky Cunningham (Angie), and Greg Cunningham (Anne); Step Children: Bill Kellar, Pat Kendall, Letitia Kellar, and Michelle (Kellar) McMann, Angela Wolgamott, and Justine Downard. Sisters: Judy Perry (Jim), Rose Savini (Mike) and brother Fred Bishop, Jr. (Brenda). Six grandsons: Christopher Stratton, Grant, Tyler and Mathew Cunningham, Christian Cunningham, and John Tyler Cunningham and one great step granddaughter. Lots of nephews and nieces, many cousins in Kentucky and Indiana. She is also survived by former husband, Bob Cunningham.

Another husband, Bill Kellar, preceded her in death.

Carollyn was an executive secretary at Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Bowes Sealfast and Penske Truck Rentals for several years. Her favorite “hobby” was singing and enjoyed singing in several different church choirs. She loved to sing with her brother and sisters, especially when her mother commanded them! She loved decorating and crocheting. She had a terrific sense of humor and wrote several stories in the Erma Bombeck style, and she loved telling jokes. Her smile and laughter will be missed!

Most of all, she was a terrific mother to her two boys and two girls.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 4:00 ~ 8:00 p.m. at Southwood Baptist Church, 501 S. 4th Ave, Beech Grove, IN and Funeral Service on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at noon.

Dear Wolgamott family, please accept my deepest sympathies. I am very sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one in death can leave us with feelings of sorrow and grief. But there is a beautiful hope we can look forward to. Isaiah 25:8 says, “He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” So not only will Almighty God eliminate death, but he will remove the feelings of sadness that come from losing someone we love, and replace those feelings with comfort and hope.

    Dear Brenda and Patrick,
I know how much your mother meant to you and I know your pain is great. Remembering her in love and laughter and cherishing your memories will eventually be great solace and joy to your hearts instead of pain. Love you and thinking of you both. Condolences to all her family.
