Deloris Maxine Smithey passed away on January 30, 2019. She was born in Indianapolis to her parents Ina and Minor Costelow on Sept. 6, 1929. She was preceded in death by husband William Smithey and her sisters Kay King and Sandra Hendricks. Dee is survived by her daughters Suzie (John) Williams and Donna (Philip) Harris and grandchildren Max (Angie) Williams, Jill (Justin) Haskin, Scott Harris, and Matthew (Paige) Harris; 9 great grandchildren to GG are Cassidy and Ben Williams and Grace, Ryan, Hunter, Kate, Jillian, Jasper, and John Haskin. She is also survived by her brother Vernon Costelow and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dee lived her passion as a surgery nurse with Dr. Schmalhausen at St. Francis Hospital. She was caring, compassionate, and dedicated to helping others and always a ray of sunshine and comfort to her patients. After her nursing career she enjoyed farming with her husband in southern Indiana and spending winters in Hawaii.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from noon until time of service at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN.
