Donna Roberts, of Noblesville, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 2, 2019 at the age of 92. Donna was born in Castleton, IN on March 20, 1927, one of six children of Mary Daisy Smith and Bert Monroe Roberts.

Widowed three times, Donna married Kenny Spannuth in 1944, John Dill in 1981, and Charles Roberts in 1996.

She was an excellent cook and a lover of babies, cockatiels and cats.  Donna loved nothing better than being with her children and grandchildren. When she was young, she and Kenny danced to big band and swing music. In her middle years, she had fun with John traveling in Good Sams and being snowbirds in Arizona.

Donna and Kenny owned two small community restaurants, one in Clarksville, IN and the second, The Trading Post, in Strawtown, IN.  Donna also worked for many years in the dietary department at Riverview Hospital and continued to volunteer with the Riverview Auxiliary for several years.  Donna was a long-time member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Noblesville and enjoyed her Sunday school class, The Happy Gleanors.

Donna is survived by daughters Diana Kriebel (Terry) of Noblesville and Debbie Dodt of Kankakee, IL, and grandchildren Aaron Ball (Elizabeth), Adrienne Dodt, Cheri Heinzman, Chris Heinzman (Marianne), Cory Heinzman, Erica Dodt (Dan), Katy Kriebel, Scotia McClung (Johnny), and ten great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her daughter Peggy Heinzman (Lynn), husbands Kenny, John and Charles, granddaughters Jenni Marie Ball and Kayla Marie Ball, and her parents and siblings.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 4 at 1:00 pm until the funeral service at 3:00 pm both at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 16000 Cumberland Rd., Noblesville, IN.  Burial will be in Crownland Cemetery, Noblesville, IN.

Special thanks from the family to all of those who have loved and cared for Donna during the last years of her life, especially the staff of Five Star Residences of Noblesville.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Emmanuel United Methodist Church.

We were still considered family by Donna after our dad, John Dill died. We have many years of happy memories with them; and the grandkids absolutely loved her. She even attended my wedding seven years ago.
