She was born May 5, 1937 to Mabel Ilona (Adams) Wood and Heabert Brown Wood.
She entered in holy matrimony with her first love, Jack David Heavilin on February 12,1955. Jack preceded her in death on May 22, 1988.
She was a homemaker and proud parent and grandparent.
Her beautiful life will continue through her children, Peggy Penry (Ty) of Anderson, Gloria Mroz (Parris) of Elwood and Scott Heavilin of Anderson. Also her grandchildren, Justin Sowash (Ali), Aaron Profitt, Karrigan Sowash, Gavin Sowash and Braytin Heavilin and three great grandchildren, Aiden, Tucker and Lennon. She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn Moore and several nieces and nephews.
She asked that there be no service as she chose to celebrate others not herself. A private memorial will be held by the family.
The family has set up a Go Fund me account for those wishing to contribute in lieu of flowers. The funds will be used to help pay for her final expenses.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of Eleanor. The passing away of a loved one is always with much sorrow. May we have faith and confidence in the Bible’s promise of a time when pain, sickness and death are a thing of the past (Revelation 21:3, 4). My condolences are with the family at this difficult time.
