Ernest C. Barr Jr., 77 Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday July 23, 2019. He was born in Indianapolis on Friday, April 10, 1942 to Helen and Ernest Barr Sr.  On July 9, 1960 he married his love, Patricia E. Perkins, she survives.  Ernie was a graduate of Manual High School in Indianapolis.  Known to many as Jr., he was a truck driver for nearly 50 years and enjoyed every minute of it.  The love of trucking was one he shared with 2 of his sons, who followed in his footsteps and have fond memories of his life over the road and especially his CB handle, “Pops goes Country”.  Anyone who new “Pops” knew he never slowed down, loved hard work and was always busy with some project.  He also treasured time spent with his family.  He is preceded in death by his son, Chris Barr; 7 brothers; his parents; and 1 sister.  Survivors include 3 children, Cathy Spiker (Lewis) of Greencastle, IN; Timothy Barr (Diane) of Fishers, IN; Ernest C. Barr, Jr. (Dawn) of Muncie, IN; 1 sister Marcy Carlin of Port Charlotte, FL; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  Both he and all the great stories he told will be missed by his family and friends.  Services will be Monday, July 29^th at Indiana Funeral Care, 2433 East Main Street, Greenwood, IN.  Visitation is 12:00 – 2:00 pm and service will be 2:30.  Burial will be at Franklin Greenlawn Cemetery, 100 West South Street, Franklin, IN.
