Ernest Francis Rathz, age 39, of Indianapolis, Indiana entered this life on July 16, 1980. He was born to Ernest Francis Rathz and Tiffany Mattingly in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ernest was a student at Perry Meridian High School. He loved spending time with his children and family. Ernest was an avid Notre Dame football fan. He enjoyed racing as a child and being in the great outdoors mainly at Brown County. Ernest was a carpenter and took great pride in his work and was also the proud owner of SLS construction. He passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

Ernest is survived by his wife, Jennifer; loving mother, Tiffany Mattingly; his step father, William Mattingly; his father, Ernest Francis Rathz; his loving children, Skylar, Landen, and Sienna, Jazlynn, Jayson; his granddaughter, Willow; his sister, Sarah Mattingly; his nephew, Parker Lesniak; and his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care – Greenwood Chapel, 2433 East Main Street, Greenwood, Indiana 46143 on Monday, September 16, 2019. No Service. Arrangements entrusted to Indiana Funeral Care – Greenwood Chapel.
