As a Shipt Shopper, I would see George several times per day at McCordsville. There never was a time he didn’t manage to make me smile. He will be missed. Our sincerest condolences and prayers for the family.

George was always such a welcoming presence at Meijer! Always smiling. Always friendly. Always helpful. Even though he knew I was a Shipt shopper he always offered to help when I was dragging out multiple carts. All of the McCordsville Shipt shoppers will remember him warmly. Condolences to his friends, family and co-workers.

As a shipt shopper I would see George quite often. He was always smiling. As many times as he tried to remember my name, he always stopped to tell me a joke or spend a few minutes to chat. He was a great man and will be missed dearly.

I often got to speak with George during my many trips into the Meijer everyday as a Shipt shopper. He always had a joke or a story or passed on his wisdom, always with a smile. It was always a good day when George was there. He will be missed. My deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones.

As a shipt shopper I got to see George quite frequently. He always had a smile for me. My heart hurt when I came through those doors today without his warm welcome. He will be dearly missed.

Grandpa, I am so thankful for all the time I have been blessed to have with you. I have always loved your stories and jokes. You have always known how to put a smile on someone’s face. The way you would give hugs always warmed my heart and I wish I could have just one more! Camilo and Liliana were so blessed to have their GG Porter in their lives and I am forever thankful they have so many wonderful memories with you. You are now our angel and I am so happy you are at peace. Please always watch over us and I know you will now never miss a game or event in my children’s lives! Love always,
    Stefanie, Juan, Camilo and Liliana

Daddy, we had a rough go of it but you always were, are, and will be in my heart forever. I always loved your jokes and stories no matter how many times I heard them. I am so very thankful for our last moment together. You looked so happy to see me! I love you so much and I will miss you immensely. I hope you and mom are dancing the jitterbug in heaven!
