Mrs. Hurbbie Maxine Oatts resided in Indianapolis, Indiana. She passed away on May 4, 2019. Hurbbie was born on the 15th of July 1939, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was the late daughter of James Beverly and Anna Laura Fanroy. Also preceding Hurbbie in death was her husband of 62 years Mr. Willie James Oatts; son Kelvin D. (Sylvia) Oatts; and her siblings Annie Bell, Henry Clay, Alexander, and Jimmie Lee.

Mrs. Hurbbie leaves behind two siblings McKeller and James Jr.; daughter Alicia (Percy Sr.) Bronson; her wonderful grandchildren Burnis P. Beecher Jr., Percy Jr., Quentin, Cierra (Bronson), and Kelvin Drake; and 11 great-grandchildren whom she adored very much.

Mrs. Hurbbie dedicated her life to raising numerous foster kids whom she adored.
