James Samuel Clayton Jr., age 83, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital and Health Center South Campus. He was born on August 15, 1935 in Indianapolis, Indiana to James Samuel Clayton Sr. and Jessie Clayton.

Professionally he was a general contractor.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor David Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana. Indiana Funeral Care entrusted with care.

    I am so sorry to hear of the death of James. The passing away of a loved one is always with much sorrow. May we have faith and confidence in the Bible’s promise of a time when pain, sickness and death are a thing of the past (Revelation 21:3, 4). My condolences are with the family at this difficult time.

    He was a very loved man by family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors activities…. fishing.. hunting.. camping. We all will miss you. Love you dad.
