John Coleman, 65, died peacefully at home July 31, 2019 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Born August 31, 1953 in Harlan, Kentucky he was the son of Floyd and Naomi Coleman. John is survived by his wife, Bettie Coleman, Markleville, Indiana, his children, John Michael Coleman (Amanda Owens) of Macy, Indiana, Chante (Dave) Cooper of Canal Fulton, Ohio, Emily (Jordan) Coffman of Madison, Alabama, Amanda (Jim) Chaplin of Markleville, Indiana, Elizabeth (Michael) Armstrong of Cincinnati, Ohio, Abigail Truitt of Wilkinson, Indiana, eleven grandchildren, his sister, Wyetta (Mike) Salyer of Martinsville, Indiana, one niece, and one nephew.

John’s prolific mandolin and guitar skills led him to play with a multitude of equally talented musicians over the years, some who would become lifelong friends.

He had a strong faith in the Lord, was an avid fisherman and a gifted mechanic.

A private celebration of life was held in his honor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

So sorry for your families loss. He was such a great man, I remember him from school functions when I went to watch my nieces. Always had a great time talking with him & Bettie. You are all in my thoughts & prayers.
