Yvonne Ryan, 80, left this earth on October 25, 2017. She was born June 7, 1937, in Estill County, Kentucky. She was the kindest person you’d ever meet.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years, Patrick Ryan; five children: Geoff (Robin) Ryan, Debbie Andrus, Valerie (Brian) MacKay, Jill (Bryan) Lusher, and Matt (Mandy) Ryan; eleven grandchildren: Brooke (Keith) Ryan-Fuller, Kelsey (Mike) Bendokaitis, Geoffrey Ryan, Sarah Andrus, Dustin Andrus, Haley MacKay, Hunter MacKay, Hannah Webb, Julie Lusher, Silas Ryan and Gretel Ryan; one great-grandchild, Wiley Lusher; one brother, Ronnie (Sharon) Winkler; one niece, Kelly Winkler, one nephew, Christopher (Dena) Winkler, and two great-nieces, Rebecca Winkler and Ashley Winkler.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ulman and Virgie (Tuttle) Winkler.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 am, Oct. 30 at Indiana Funeral Care/ Harry W. Moore Chapel in Indianapolis. The memorial service will follow at 12:00 pm.

  2. Jill, you mom was one of the most beautiful people that I have ever met. So kind and full of grace. Praying for peace and comfort.

  3. So many fond memories of Yvonne. She was truly warm, kind, generous, and caring. My deepest condolences during this time of grief.

  4. Although I never had a chance to meet Mrs. Ryan, she had to be a wonderful, loving, caring and supportive mother to be able to birth and help raise and train a “special” child like Matt. My thoughts, prayers and sympathy go out to the family and friends.

When ever we lose such a caring and loving person, it is the hardest thing that any of us can go thru. And because of that my thoughts and prayers are with your family. During this extremely difficult time, please turn to God for comfort and support. He promise to give your family the strength needed in order to endure this great lost. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) Something else that can bring your family comfort is cherishing the wonderful memories that you have of Mrs. Yvonne. These precious memories will console the family in the day’s ahead.

  7. My deepest sympathy to the Ryan Family. Mrs. Ryan and my Mom (Grace Page Curfman) were friends for years and our families celebrated graduations, weddings and just fun times. Valerie and I still have a special friendship like our Mothers. Hugs and prayers to the whole Ryan Family. Yvonne was a beautiful, warming loving lady.

  9. Just as her parents she give unselfishly of herself to all her loved ones especially her dad after her mom passed.
    Her love for Pat and her children was obvious for all to see. She will be missed by all who loved her. But she will live forever in the hearts everyone who knew her.

    I just learned of the passing of your beloved mother. I will always remember her as an incredibly kind and giving person that was a positive influence for everyone around her. This has been a tough year as we too lost our mother. I wish you all the strength you’ll need to endure.
