Jay (66 years) passed away peacefully on September 15 following an extended illness. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio but spent his lifetime in Indiana. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his parents, Jo Ann and Raymond Geringer, the love of his life, Pamela Greeson, sisters Laura Ellis (husband Kent) and Patricia Ketner, brother John Michael Geringer, and several nephews who dearly loved their uncle Jay.

Jay was a graduate of North Central High School, Indianapolis (1971) and Ferris State University before starting a career in insurance adjusting and automobile service. He had a lifetime passion for automobiles and motorcycles, especially antique and classic models. He loved driving, being outdoors, family celebrations and every dog he ever met.

Jay was a gentle, funny, caring person, always willing to help others with their problems. He will be missed by all who knew him. In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no calling. The family would like to thank the staff of American Village for the compassionate care they provided for Jay. A celebration of Jay’s life will be held at a later date.
