
Richard James Brinson, 94, of Indianapolis, IN, peacefully passed away on April 16, 2017. He was born in Tifton, IN on September 19, 1922 to Jesse L. and Rose M. (Wettrick) Brinson. Preceding him in death are his parents, three brothers, one sister, wife and one great-great-grandchild. He was the loving husband to Dorothea J. (Surber) Brinson for 55 years. He is survived by his sister Rosalie (Brinson) Black and Dorothea’s and his children, Gladys (Bennett) O’Steen and James (Jani) Brinson. He is also survived by four grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Richard was a World War II veteran who worked as a suit salesman at Sears, Roebuck & Co., from which he retired after 30 years. Richard will be remembered for his sincerity, his commitment to doing what is right, his faithful foundation with God, and his unending love and dedication to his family. A celebration of his life will be held this Friday, April 21 at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, IN at 11:00 A.M.
