Terry Gene Wynkoop of Lizton, Indiana passed away peacefully on May 16, 2019 at his home.

Terry was born June 1, 1943 in Lebanon, Indiana to Hubert and Marjorie (Huddleston) Wynkoop.  He married the love of his life, Elaine K Haines, on September 24, 1966, who preceded him in death, April 6, 2019. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage and have two wonderful daughters, Amie and Beth.

Terry graduated from Lizton Blazers in 1961. As a truck driver, he was employed with Vandivier Livestock and Carters Trucking, until his retirement in 2011.  He enjoyed watching Football, Basketball, Nascar, and Soccer. Most of all, he was a light to his family and friends, going out of his way to care for and to help others.

Survivors include his daughters, Amie (John) Hanson and Beth (Don) Cummins; his three grandchildren, Joshua (Kimberly) Trapp, Mandy Trapp, and Scott Cummins; and his two great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Trapp and Olivia Rinsch.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Darrell Wynkoop, his sister, Regina Wynkoop, and his son in law, Rodney Trapp.

Per Terry’s wishes there will be no funeral services. He would like for his family and friends to remember him as he was in his life. “Its better to laugh than to be sad”

The family would love for everyone to perform a random act of kindness and pay it forward in Terry’s honor.
