Tyler R. Trent, 20, of Carmel, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on January 1, 2019.

A Celebration of Tyler’s Life will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8 at his church, College Park Church, 2606 W. 96th Street, Indianapolis.

In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made in Tyler’s memory to any of the following:

The Tyler Trent Cancer Research Endowment for Riley Hospital (www.RileyKids.org/Tyler) : In November, Tyler broke the Riley Dance Marathon individual fundraising record by raising more than $101,000 for Riley cancer research through Purdue University Dance Marathon (PUDM). In recognition of Tyler’s extraordinary efforts, PUDM chose to dedicate the funds he raised to the Tyler Trent Cancer Research Endowment for Riley Hospital.

5.  The Tyler Trent Courage and Resilience Award at Purdue University (https://secure.ud.purdue.edu/s/1461/campaign/give.aspx?sid=1461&gid=1010&pgid=3175&cid=7440&bledit=1&sort=1&dids=5536.35&appealcode=15813) : The Tyler Trent Courage and Resilience Award was funded through a combination of gifts, the scholarship will be awarded to undergraduate students at Purdue’s West Lafayette campus who have encountered adversity in their pursuit of higher education.
